Rohingya Action North East started off as a grassroots movement in 2017 in response to the atrocities being committed against the Rohingy people. Our members have lobbied local government, campaigned, fundraised as well as going out on aid missions to the refugee camps in Cox Bazaar.
Now a constituted and registered charity our objectives include relieving the needs of the Rohingya people by providing aid, healthcare and education commonly working with other organisations.
We also aim to support Rohingya people living in the North East of England, who are seeking asylum or have been granted refugee status. In addition to this, to advance the education of the general public in the history of the Rohingya people.
